Our Firm

James D. Freeman, MSFS, CFP®, CLTC is President of Freeman Financial Advisory, LLC.  He began his career in the financial services industry in 1980 upon graduating from Rider University with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  He worked as an investment consultant for a regional broker/dealer before founding his own Financial Planning firm in 1986. 
Jim became a Certified Financial Planner Practitioner (CFP®) in 1987, received a Masters Degree in Financial Services (MSFS) in 1994, and his Certification in Long Term Care (CLTC) in 2004.  He specializes in consulting clients in retirement planning and portfolio management.  Based on his contributions to the financial services industry, he was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry in 1992.  As a charter member of the Financial Planning Association of the Delaware Valley (FPA), Jim also believes in giving back to his profession.  He served on the Board of Directors of Delaware Valley Financial Planning Association from 1991 through 1995.

 
Jim and his wife of more than 20 years, Kathy, live in Marlton, NJ with their two children.  They are both active in the community through their homeowners association and the local PTA.

Todd Bergmann is our Senior Financial Analyst.  He graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  He assists in researching investment portfolios and preparing tax analysis for our clients. In addition he handles overseeing financial and performance reporting for the firm. 

 

Jennifer Gaffney is our Director of Operations.  She is responsible for client account establishment and client maintenance.  You will find Jennifer scheduling and greeting people either on the telephone or as they come in to visit our office.  She is instrumental in assisting Jim with day-to-day client accounts and customer service.  Jennifer also organizes all of our client meetings and special events.
